This is us.
“Juggernaut” : an unstoppable force
The word we chose in 2003 to live our truth to. To us it means -looking in the mirror every night satisfied with how we engaged our day -giving up is not an option, adapting is -we get to control who we are, nothing else -we have this ONE LIFE and we get to choose to LIVE it
What People Are Saying
“Carissa has been a God-send to my not-for-profit. She is very organized, smart, and has taught me a lot about bookkeeping and sound financial practices. Even faced with the decision to have a bookkeeper local or continue with Carissa (albeit remotely from Australia) my board of directors unanimously chose Carissa because she is a great bookkeeper, and we trust her.”
— Bridget, HOMEPLATE YOUTH SERVICES (NFP)
“I had wanted to update my chart of accounts and move to a cloud based accounting solution for some time. This is where Carissa’s help was invaluable by making the transfer to Xero seamless. In particular her one-on-one training gave me the confidence to fully utilise the new system’s features. In the two years since initial implementation I’ve reached out for additional training with the implementation of Payroll, Single Touch Payroll and Superannuation features. I’ve developed new skills and feel confident that I am on top of the financial needs of my business. ”
— Sue McGinn, OAM MBA Dip Ag GAICD (Dairy)
“Carissa has an excellent knowledge of accounting programs accompanied with insights into what data farmers need from their systems. She helped our business transition our bookkeeping to Xero, installing the DairyBase Chart of Accounts. the monthly zoom meetings are invaluable. They involve training to streamline processes, keep me on track and focus on producing reports. Carissa is a complete professional and I would highly recommend her services.”
— Debbie, BLUE SILO HOLSTEINS (Dairy)
“I was introduced to Carissa Wolfe in her position as a bookkeeper/personnel manager for WDHIA in the summer of 2008…an honest and straightforward person, in all of our dealings she has constantly offered well thought-out, precise advice when it comes to employee relations, financial questions and legal issues that have arisen in my tenure.
Karyn has demonstrated a level of accuracy and care in her work that has on more than one occasion had me attempt to hire her as an employee for WDHIA itself. Karyn demonstrates a desire for the improvement in the functioning of every business she comes into contact with, and a care for the welfare of the animals in all farm related businesses that is non-paralleled in my experience.
It is my opinion that you will not meet two more capable, considerate, intelligent, forward-thinking people.”
— Joel, WILLAMETTE DAIRY HERD IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION (NFP)
“Carissa took over the quirky bookkeeping system we had in place and made it work. Over time, she made numerous upgrades and improved the system while she was here…many examples of Carissa going above and beyond the call of duty to help us out.”
— Laura, 47th AVENUE FARM (CSA)
“I have worked with Carissa Wolfe for many years on several different clients and I find her work to be very thorough and detailed…I have recommended her to clients and other professionals in my area with great results. She will be a valuable asset to any company.”
— Helen Bagley, CPA
“Carissa has been our bookkeeper and auditor for Mid North Coast Women in Dairy for the past 5 years. When we need some technical support, Carissa walks us through the process with patience and skill. We receive periodical reports on all projects, allowing us to convey up to date monetary position to relevant parties. During these times of Covid-19, we have been restricted in our communications to our members. So, Carissa has provided the link and education for our members to connect by Zoom. If I am having any issues technically or with the book work, I know Carissa is only a text message away. Most importantly she is a very good and compassionate person.”
— Marelle, MNC WOMEN IN DAIRY (NFP)
“The work Carissa has done for our company is exceptional. She started with a very thoughtful approach, taking time to see what we were doing and wanted to do and then creating better systems with us, which is an ongoing process as our company grows. We have a very wide spectrum of inventory and clients ranging from home gardeners to large certified organic farms, vineyards and landscapers, along with wholesale to other shops. She has solved many mysteries we created with the complexity of our company and provides fixes to help us limit future errors with proper protocol. She provides a great range of services to us that allow us to take on tasks as we're able, along with tasks that she can achieve for us as needed, particularly in the busier seasons of our company. She has also worked with us on human resources, budgeting and planning the growth of our company, creating reports to help us visualize where we can expand in terms of employment, retail hours and other important financial decisions.”

I see what’s behind, underneath - the structures, frameworks and emotions. I see you, see your vision and see your pain, fear and frustrations. With that I build systems - connections and infrastructure to bridge hard data and the human you, so that you have what you need at your fingertips to do what lights you up.
Then I teach you how to use it, make it yours, leverage it.
Take it: data analysis, audit, childhood development, mountain air, intentional food, that fractional moment something changes in a person’s mindset, road trips, quality time with friends and family
Leave it: working for ‘the man’, wasted time, “this is just how it’s done”
What has shaped my experience: growing up wild, Database Development for Management Accounting at a Big Bank, amazing mentors, birth/post-partum doula & lactation consultant, the house cow, brain injury
What she won’t tell you: she actually does like to cook
Karyn Cassar
I see what not’s working or working slowly, and what can change to speed up, make easier. I see the answers in the riddles of information. With that I build a plan of action, confidence in a direction. I will share every bit of knowledge I have in the hope you might find a gold-nugget in it for yourself.
I can’t make you step up your game, but I can show you where you can.
Take it: finding & creating efficiencies, analysing anything, needs-based research, cows, cows, cows, breeding cows, always asking questions because you might hear a different answer
Leave it: inefficiencies, excuses
What has shaped my experience: Data Collector for National Agricultural Statistics Department of America, working for ‘the man’, it’s not the answer that’s wrong - it’s that the real question isn’t being asked
What she won’t tell you: Dairy Apprentice of the Year, Federal Cattle Judge’s List for Beef & Dairy

The bravest are surely those who have the clearest vision of what is before them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it.
